looking back

I glimpsed my reflection in a window the other day and its slight blurriness revealed something I'd never seen before. There, glancing back at me, was the grandfather who'd died when I was seven. I didn't get the chance to know him well, and so, perhaps, have been unaware of his presence in my present. But now I'm intrigued to wonder, How much of him is there in me?

You are shuffling your posts Mr Draper, AND you got rid of my lovingly crafted comment... sniff...

I'm glad it's not just me, Brett: I thought I'd seen these words before, if not the photo. However, I think we'll forgive the author as he's such a nice guy! Perhaps it's a subject for a new post- indeed, a question: is repetition the new originality?

Nice guy? try telling that to my distraught niece who i name-checked in the comment :-) And as for repetition being the new originality... only with JUST the right amount of spin.

I simply refreshed the picture as I didn't like the other one. Forgot to shift the quotes over and now they're gone for ever. Deleted. I didn't realise it would quite cause the reverberations it has done on the WWW.

I guess our author is only doing what it says on the virtual can: you are what you delete? Perhaps we need a way to Ronseal our digital utterances so they don't get lost with an incidence of fingerslip. Somehow though I bet these things never really disappear: they lurk in some digital dungeon to incriminate us in times to come. Never mind, keep up the good work, Brian, and I hope Brett's niece can find fame again soon. She can have a name check in my blog if you like!
