I returned to Manchester for the first time in 16 years the other day. It was a formative year that I spent there; a crucial fork in the road of life and faith. I wonder what I'll feel one day when, long in the future, I return to where I am now. It's strange to think you're living in the past, the present and the future simultaneously. Hope I make this presence count.

Re-visiting old haunts is rather like looking back at a map, I guess Brian, after you've planned your route and actually been from one place to another to arrive at a destination. A map give you clues, but it can't make the journey for you.
Looking at old maps can be even better, as it helps you to see what's gone for good and what for bad, or sad.
Having said that, how do we know your photo is a Manchester street: could be anywhere!
