apprenticeship
I can understand why the young blades in the news series of The Apprentice will stab each other in the back to succeed. After all, you don't get to be mentored by someone successful every day. The question is, can I match their passion, but help to redefine 'success' in the process? The energy and creativity people release to make money can surely teach us a thing or two about how we try to change the world for good.

Well, I bet even Alan Michael Sugar didn't get where he is today without making the odd mistake with his words at times, Brian ("news"?) but we all owe his word processors a thing or two.
I'm glad you didn't spoil the details of the first one in the new series too much though as I forgot to video the Wednesday showing.
For anyone else who wants to know what all the fuss is about in the UK, there's a repeat at 19.00 GMT next Tuesday evening on BBC TWO.
I can never forgive Alan Sugar. My first computer, an Amstrad PCW 8256, had a bug that meant any files that were above a certain size got deleted when you tried to save them to the floppy disk. I received my first object-lesson on the importance of making backups as my long-essay on Islam disappeared into binary-land two days before the handing-in date. Still get cold chills thinking about it. *brrrr*
