The day I began my Christian conversion.

I can only agree with Brett!
Except, of course, that we can only speak of the happiest day of our lives **so far**. We do not know what is yet to come, and it may well be something that makes us feel even happier is yet to happen. Or, to put it as one of my heroes, John Wesley, said "the best is yet to be!". But then he was not talking about THIS life...

My second Christian conversion, 1995, in a caravan in Kentucky. A golden day.

Afraid I don't share the same sunny memory of conversion experience...mine were when my children were born...nothing comes close

I'm interested to see what *makes* the happiest day(s) so special. Perhaps it's better to think about days that aren't directly rites of passage - weddings, conversions, and so on. What was it about certain other days that makes their memory so special (even if that memory is by now exaggerated or different from the reality. I chose the blossom picture because the sight and smell of blossom evokes in me a recollection of happiness that I can't quite pin down - but which takes me back to very happy feelings from many years ago. I'm interested to ask, if we had to rate 'happiest' days by memory, which don't include major rites of passage, how one would measure the memory of happiness.

Still say the happiest days were full of love, people and communication - but guess the overwhelming feeling is of love and acceptance - and that encompasses all the important days like kids being born, marriage etc........:-)

i suppose brian the days when for whatever reason you felt like you belonged to something both within and beyond you - they are the memories that transcend time and so take me beyond it...bloody good question

"Brian said 'I'm interested to see what *makes* the happiest day(s) so special.'"

OK 'mister specific'...

What *MADE* my conversion special was the fact that i was blessed with a very powerful experience of God's presence, of him making me realise that despite me affirming his reality, that my obsession with motorcycles was blocking me from accepting Christ... and after my relinquishing of the obsession, experiencing an overwhelming consciousness of his acceptance and the forgiveness of my sins... tears of joy, laughter followed by a long sleep. (When i woke the first thing i did was put an ad for my motorcycle in Exchange & Mart :-)
